    A one-car accident was under investigation Wednesday afternoon in West Jefferson. According to a preliminary report, Larry D. Holmes of Columbus was driving east on East Main Street, when he apparently lost control of his 1988 Toyota Camry, drove up over the curb, damaging a tree and a light pole and coming to rest in the yard of American Loans, 127 E. Main St. Holmes was not injured.
