According to the West Frankfort Police Department, 28-year-old Whitney Mansfield was arrested Tuesday, Dec. 2 in connection with a incident that happened at a home in the 1400 block of East Oak Street on Nov. 22. A 70-year-old woman called police saying she went into her home and found someone inside.

Miles Brother's Meats in West Frankfort donated nearly 6,000 pounds of deer meat to area food pantry's last year, according to owner Chad Miles.

According to investigators, a man said he wanted flowers then threatened store employees with scissors and demanded money.
