    A 60-year-old Warner man was sentenced to a year in state prison for stabbing an elderly woman in the buttocks and threatening her at gunpoint last fall during a drunken romantic encounter that his attorney and several relatives and friends claimed was an aberration on an otherwise upstanding personal record. Dennis Barnard stood stoically as the punishment was announced this morning in Merrimack County Superior Court.
