    Massena-based state police charged Kerry H. Zook, 59, of Chase Mills with driving while intoxicated and ticketed him for operation of a vehicle with an inadequate plate lamp at 8:22 p.m. Saturday following a stop on Route 37 in the town of Waddington. A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher is considered proof of intoxication in the state.

Nation Eastern Divisional Tournament held here this week has brought some of the world's best anglers to the St. Lawrence River, including an up-and-coming team from Spain. Team captain Victoria Gomez, who speaks some English, said her team spent the last few days of the tournament fishing near Massena and Lake Ontario, with their biggest catches caught near Waddington.

Webster's older brother, Matt, was a captain on Clarkson's 2007 ECAC Hockey championship team and she played college women's basketball at SUNY Potsdam.
