    A Vinahaven man was arrested and charged for allegedly stealing a vehicle from a repair shop in Thomaston and then attempting to steal metal from Winterport Fire Department. Waldo County Sheriff's Deputy Jonathan Shaw received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at Winterport Fire Station Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. Shaw spoke to several members of the fire department who said the truck was discovered with its doors open and metal in the rear bed that belonged to the department, according to a press release from the sheriff's office.
