    In 1914: One of the most gruesome tragedies in Champaign County for many years occurred this morning when Mrs. Scott Stone and her four children, ages 5 years to 18 months, were burned to death in a farmhouse one and a half miles northwest of Tolono. The only survivor was Mr. Stone, who jumped from an upstairs window and escaped injury.
