The Thomson City Council in its Nov. 13 meeting and the McDuffie County Commission, in its Dec. 2 meeting approved the transfer and deeding of the Old State Patrol Post property on Washington Road to the state of Georgia for the construction of a new GBI regional office around 2549 Washington Rd. The State of Georgia is planning for future construction of regional offices of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
