Mr. Ziegler, know to many by his nickname "Bud," was known for his passion on the history of the Waterville area and the miniature historic replicas he created of the town and the well-known Columbian House.

    Emily R. Kisela was traveling westbound on Central Avenue near Centennial Road in a Dodge Durango SUV when she went left of center and collided with the tractor-trailer driven by Evan D. Olmstead, 56, of Potterville, Mich., the Ohio State Highway Patrol said. Sylvania Township Police Department, Sylvania Township Fire Department, Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, and Ohio Department of Transportation also responded to the crash, which remains under investigation.

Darrel Phillips pleaded guilty in 2012 to misdemeanor illegal conveyance of a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance in a school-safety zone and was sentenced to 18 months probation and ordered not to work any more games in Sylvania.
