Presented by the Reno Dance Company, the Nutcracker matinee show is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22 and that evening at 7 p.m. A third and final show, a matinee, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23. All shows are held at the Veterans Memorial Hall.

    A Susanville woman was transported to Renown Medical Center in Reno, Nevada after she was shot in the leg Saturday, Nov. 8 during a confrontation at a local apartment complex. According to a Wednesday, Nov. 12 press release from the Susanville Police Department, officers found Sarah Pinkerton, 27, in an upstairs bedroom in a Hall Street apartment after she had been "shot once in the calf area of her right leg with an unknown caliber firearm after a confrontation with a group of subjects in the apartment," about 5 p.m. Nov. 8. "The other subjects involved in the confrontation had already left the area prior to the arrival of the officers."
