The month before spring break was filled with projects, songs, stories, guest readers and visitors, and celebrations; all part of the learn by play approach. In February, the students celebrated "Friendship Day/Valentine's Day" with Superior Senior Citizens and were very thankful for all the treats.

Visitors were able to enjoy entertainment such as carnival rides and games, Navajo Dancers, Chihuahua dog races, extensive mining competition's, gold panning, music, food and entertainment for all to enjoy! The mining competition had a total of $2,000 available for the winner.
