    Superior ace pitcher Rickey Longoria, a first team All-Division and All-Section selection, is scheduled to appear in the 2015 Arizona Baseball Coaches Association Division III/IV All-Star game, which will be played on Saturday, May 30, at Goodyear Ballpark Stadium. Longoria, a senior, helped lead the Panthers to the quarterfinals of this year's state playoffs, where his team lost to eventual state runner up Ray.

    An 82-year-old man escaped serious injury Wednesday when his pickup truck went off a highway near Superior and down a 30-foot embankment, the Pinal County Sheriff's office said.
