    LAST WEDNESDAY, Herman Saatkamp, president of Stockton University, resigned, effective Sept. 1. It would seem that the resignation of a college president at the other end of the state would have little bearing on North Jersey, but the reality is that Saatkamp's resignation takes place in a political context rife with implications not just for Stockton and its environs, but the entire state.
