Charles Richard Brice, 47, of a Shawnee Drive address was extradited back to Savannah Tuesday and booked in the Chatham County jail for auto theft after his arrest in Holly Hill, S.C., on Aug. 7, said Julian Miller, metro police spokesman.

A 5:30 p.m. Mass at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist will be followed by a party at Savannah Station, 601 Cohen St. Boland served 16 years as bishop for the 90-county Diocese of Savannah after being ordained as the 13th bishop of the diocese in 1995. He stepped down at the mandatory age of 75, but he remained in office until Bishop Gregory J. Hartmayer was named his successor and was ordained as bishop in October 2011.
