    Savannah-Chatham police are trying to identify and locate a man in an unusual van who was reported to have attempted to pull a child into his truck this morning. The 12-year-old Coastal Middle School student reported the man grabbed his shirt and tried to capture him after offering him ice cream near Mapmaker and Ropemaker lanes about 7:30 a.m. The boy bit the man on the arm to get away and reported the incident to a teacher, said Julian Miller, police spokesman.
