    First Judicial District Attorney Angela Pacheco announced Friday morning that a grand jury has determined the August 2013 officer-involved shooting of Roberto Mendez by Santa Fe Police Department officers John Debaca and Stephen Fonte was unjustified, and sent the case to a special prosecutor. The case stems from an incident on August 8 of last year in which officers Debaca and Fonte shot a suspect, Roberto Mendez, who was under suspicion of stealing a car.
