    Following multiple delays and the urging of local lawmakers to publish its findings , the National Park Service released its draft report Tuesday on the Rim of the Valley Corridor study, recommending a boundary adjustment as a less costly and more efficient alternative to creating a new national park. The special resource study of the corridor - which includes the mountains encircling the San Fernando, La Crescenta, Santa Clarita, Simi and Conejo valleys of Los Angeles and Ventura counties - was mandated by Congress in 2008 to determine whether any portion of the area is eligible to be designated as a national park or added to an existing national park.
