    The San Mateo County sheriff's bomb squad disabled a homemade explosive device that was found along a walking path in San Carlos this morning, sheriff's officials said. Shortly before 9 a.m., a couple out for a walk near Arguello Park, located at 260 Wellington Drive, called police to report finding what appeared to be a crude incendiary device.
