A state Supreme Court judge ordered Lucky Dog Rescue of Mohawk Valley to be dissolved after an investigation by Attorney General Eric Schneiderman showed thousands of dollars had been received from the public.

    Oneida County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 22-year-old Anna Stanford, of New Woodstock, and charged her with second degree burglary after they say she broke into a home on State Route 20 in the Town of Bridgewater on October 21. Deputies found Stanford at 504 Roberts Street in Rome and took her into custody without incident. Stanford was arraigned and taken to the Oneida County Jail on $25,000 bail.

    The Health Department says the horse was stabled in the Town of Trenton, and after suffering from neurological symptoms linked to EEE, was euthanized on September 8. "The Health Department has been routinely testing mosquito pools in western Oneida County throughout the summer but had seen no positive specimens to date," Phyllis D. Ellis, Director of Health said. She added, "This horse was infected with the EEE virus in a portion of Oneida County where EEE has not been detected previously.
