Randall Vaughn, 42, and Mary Vaughn, 59, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and aggravated child neglect and were sentenced on Monday in Rogersville, Tennessee, District Attorney General Dan Armstrong said on Tuesday.

Deputy Michael Hensley was at the Surgoinsville Elementary School, 1010 Main Street Surgoinsville, when he observed a blue 2006 Ford F150 driven by Scotty Lee Haycraft, age 52 of Rogersville, pull into school parking lot and drop off a child. Deputy Hensley had prior knowledge that Mr. Haycraft's TN Drivers License was revoked, upon conducting a traffic stop, at which time he learned that Mr. Haycraft was a Habitual Traffic Offender, and a Registered Sex Offender.
