    A man died Sunday after fumes were ignited while he pumped gasoline at a service station in Prince George's County, authorities said. It appeared that the man was burned as he lit a cigarette while trying to pump gasoline at a gas station in the Riverdale Park area, according to county fire department spokesman Mark Brady.

Raymond Rivas Jr., 52, was sentenced April 6 to five years in prison without parole and 18 months of probation after being convicted in November 2014 of first- and second-degree assault, use of a handgun in the commission of a crime of violence, reckless endangerment and wearing or carrying of a dangerous weapon openly with intent to injure, according to online court records.
