    A 63-year-old man was reported dead at the scene of a one vehicle crash in Black River Falls on Friday. Black River Falls Police Chief Patrick LaBarbera said the crash happened on 8th Street just south of Adams Street at about 4:20 p.m. on May 22. The initial report shows Paul Mickelson, of Black River Falls, was driving southbound on Eight Street when he veered off the roadway to the west.

According to the criminal complaint, John B. Cook admitted to stabbing Jacinda Muir, of Black River Falls, on the morning of Sunday, May 17 after stealing a bag of meth from her and prodding her into the wooded area using his knife.
