    Richmond, Ind. - Mary E. Davis, 105, of Richmond, died on Monday, November 17, 2014, at the Sterling House in Richmond. Mary was born in Indianapolis on June 15, 1909, to Lloyd and Ethel Highley Harmeyer. She lived most of her life in Union County and was a 1929 graduate of Kitchel High School. Mary was a homemaker, farm wife, and a part time bus driver and a member of Hanna's Creek Christian Church. She crocheted over 200 baby blankets for University Hospital in Cincinnati. Mary enjoyed sewing, reading, and jigsaw puzzles. Mary is survived by three sons: Duane Davis of St. Louis; Gary Davis and wife Lu Ann of Liberty, and Neil Davis and wife Joy of Connersville; three daughters: Donna Stevens and husband Dale of Liberty, Sharon Lafuze and husband Duane of Liberty, and Sandra Wehrley and husband Darrell of Fairfield, OH; two sisters: Marjorie Luker of Richmond, and Joanna Ach of Cincinnati; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-six great - grandchildren; fifty-two great - great - grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Dale Davis who died May 29, 1985; one brother, Arthur Harmeyer; a sister: Frances Overbeck; and two grandchildren: Alan Davis and Tyler Wehrley. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22nd, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, in Liberty with Rev. Scott Bell of Edwards United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Elkhorn Cemetery in Wayne County. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of service where memorial contributions may be made to Tri State Parkinson's Wellness Chapter ~ 4 Triangle Park Drive Suite 404 ~ Cincinnati, OH 45246. Ella was born in Honaker, Virginia, on February 23, 1921, to Henry and Lena (Miller) Miller. Ella graduated from Short High School in 1939 where she played girl's intermural basketball. On June 4, 1940, she married Maurice Pentecost in Richmond, Kentucky. Ella attended Hillcrest Baptist Church in Richmond, taught Sunday School for many years, loved music and was a member of Sweet Adelines. Ella was a hairdresser for many years in Richmond. She loved crafting, sewing and doing alterations, and was also an accomplished quilter. Ella is survived by her husband of 74 years; two sons; Edwin Pentecost and wife Erna of Bailey's Harbor, Wisconsin, and Larry Pentecost of Greenwood; a daughter: Sandra Hillman and husband Ray of Greenwood; a sister: Hazel Abernathy of Taveras, FL; four grandchildren: Amanda Becker, Craig Hillman, Michael Pentecost, and Kyle Hillman; six great-grandchildren: Russell Pentecost, Alex Hillman, Evan Hillman, Mitchell Pentecost, Chloe Becker, and Lily Becker; and several nieces and nephews. Ella was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Calvin Miller and four sisters: Vivian Stoner, Grace Free, Helen Montgomery, and Kathleen Smith. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21st, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel in Liberty with Pastor Jim Dodson of Southland Community Church in Greenwood officiating. Burial will follow in College Corner Cemetery in West College Corner. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. Friday until time of service where memorial contribution may be made to Alzheimer's Association ~ 50 E. 91st Street Suite 100 ~ Indianapolis, IN 46209. Romalee was born in Modoc in Randolph County on Saturday, September 3, 1921, to Ozro and Letha Hodson Rubush and attended school in Randolph County. Romalee was a homemaker as she raised her family and then she had been employed at Cregar's 5 & 10 store and Driggs Shoe Store, both in Liberty. She had lived most of her life in Liberty. Romalee enjoyed her church and was a long time member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Richmond. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, her family and her grandchildren. Romalee is survived by a son: Herbert Alcorn and his wife Shelly of Richmond; a daughter-in-law: Sue Alcorn of Liberty; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Romalee was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman in May of 1981; four sons: Herman Jr., Kenneth, James, and Larry Alcorn; a daughter Phyllis Jean; six brothers: Gail, Gene, George, William, Richard, and Donnie Rubush; and four sisters: Crystal Brown, Mavis Beachler, Wanda Dodd, and Margurette Belcher. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 19th at West point Cemetery in Liberty with Rev. Marty Holman of Hillcrest Baptist Church officiating. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, growing any kind of flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Elmer C. Bond; children, Karen (Michael) Arthur, Melvin (Linda) Bond, and Edward Lewis Bond, all of Richmond; grandchildren, Cassandra (Aaron) Smith of Florida, Nathan (Heather) Beach of Richmond, Chance Arthur of Richmond, Melessa (Pete) Lewis of Fort Branch, Indiana, Kyle Bond of Richmond, Trent Bond of Richmond, and Chad Bond of Richmond; great-grandchildren, Shelby Bond, Gavin Bond, Brooklyn Lewis, Logan Lewis, and Grace Smith; nieces; nephews; cousins; special friend, Frona Ellington of Richmond; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, M.B. King; and three sisters, Jerry Payne, Jean Fletcher, and Sophia Harmon. Visitation for Luella Bond will be from 4 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
