He was born in Anderson, Indiana on March 16, 1962 to James and Dorothy Niccum Johnson and had lived in the area for almost 18 years. Kevin enjoyed being outdoors, especially gardening with his grandchildren. He adored his family. He was our light when the rest of the world was dark. Kevin would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He is loved and will be terribly missed by many! Gone but never forgotten. Survivors include his wife Barbara Johnson; his mother Dorothy Johnson; Children Allison Johnson, Kaitlyn (Justin) Clark, Andrew (Amanda) Haskett, Latoya Jolly and Allen Johnson; grandchildren Jayden Clark, Kristopher Clark and R.J. Jolly; siblings Brenda Thomas, James Johnson and Cindy Barker. He was preceded by his father James and brother Timothy Johnson. Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday (April 16, 2015) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will be held in Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Bud Parrish will officiate.     RICHMOND, Ind. - Phyllis A. Hamilton, age 60, of Richmond, died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Reid Hospital. Born December 16, 1954, in Marion, Indiana, to William and Martha J. Godfrey Sizemore, she moved to this community in 1975. She later lived in Boston, Massachusetts, for nine years before returning to this area. Phyllis was a 1973 graduate of Greenfield High School. She started working at McDonald's in Greenfield, Indiana, in 1972, as a member of the crew and worked her way up to owner/operator of McDonald's. Phyllis had a passion for the Ronald McDonald House and she had served as a board member in Dayton, Ohio. She loved to travel, particularly to Aruba and the Smoky Mountains. Phyllis loved to shop and had taught her grandchildren to shop. She loved to be there for people and loved spending time with friends, family, and her pets. She was a loving wife to her husband of 40 years, Charles "Chuck" Hamilton, to whom she was married on May 18, 1974. Phyllis was a beloved mother to her daughter, Ginny (Aaron) Matthews of Richmond and son, Jeremy (Kara) Hamilton of Richmond. She was a devoted mammaw to her grandchildren, Amanda, Sara, Tessa, Allison, and Maya. Other survivors include her mother; brothers, Charles Alan Sizemore of Stephens City, Virginia and David (Karen) Sizemore of Richmond; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; other extended family; and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her father. Visitation for Phyllis A. Hamilton will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Deacon Frank Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Elkhorn Cemetery. She earned a degree in railroad technician engineering and she was a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church. Her husband, Shagen Abagyan, died in 1977. Survivors include her three daughters, Karina Babayeva (husband Armen) and their children Anna and Natalya, Evelina Chilingaryan (husband Karen) and their children Lena and Andrey, and Stella Abagyan. She is also survived by a great grandson, Philip. Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday (April 18, 2015) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Amanda Hines will officiate. Born March 21, 1948, in Joliet, Illinois, to Theophalous and Lois Gulley Hornsby, Ron lived most of his life in Richmond. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Ron retired as an electrician for ALCOA/ Silgan White Cap. He was a member of the Hoosier Corners Square Dance Club. Ron enjoyed riding his Harley, traveling, playing golf and tennis, and helping others improve their game. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl A. Tiemann Hornsby; daughter, Tina (David) Witte of Bloomington, Indiana; grandchildren, Joshua (Merisa) Witte of San Diego, California, and Keagan Witte of Bloomington, Indiana; a great-grandchild on the way; niece; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Hornsby; and first wife, Gloria M. Davis Hornsby. Visitation for Ronald C. Hornsby will be from 5 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Darlene was born on June 22, 1924, in Surry County, North Carolina, to Edgar W. and Lettie Bryant Tucker. She was a 1940 graduate of Cameron High School in North Carolina and graduated in 1950 from Atlantic Christian College with a degree in English. Darlene was the editor of her college yearbook and was listed in the 1949-50 Who's Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges. She married Neal Ward in 1951 and they moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 1953. She retired in 1980 from Egads, Inc. as an administrative assistant. Darlene was a life-long member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She was very active in the League of Women's Voters and N.O.W. Darlene enjoyed reading, working in her yard, admiring the birds and wildlife, and helping during local elections. Survivors include her children, Vincent Watson Ward of Richmond, Chaplain Sandra (Steve) Ward-Angell of Richmond, and John Gregory Ward of New Jersey; sister, Kathryn T. Poindexter of North Carolina; many nieces and nephews; cousins; and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Neal Ward who died in 1971; parents; four sisters; and two brothers. Services for Darlene Tucker Ward will be held in North Carolina at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
