Born September 10, 1947, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, to John and Martha Short Wells, he lived most of his life in this area. Johnny was a truck driver for Richmond Recycling Center for over 20 years. Survivors include his life-long companion Peggy Snow; children, Randy (Penny) Wells of Richmond, Martha Ingram of Lancaster, Ohio, and John (Heather) Wells, Donnie (Samantha) Wells, Rhonda Wells, Jerry (Morgan) Wells, and Jessie (Sherry) Wells, all of Hamilton, Ohio; step-children, Jim and Char Snow of Richmond; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby (Sylvester) Gunter of Camden, Ohio; nieces; nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Danny Ray Wells; and sister, Earlene Murray. Visitation for Johnny Wells will be from 11 to 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2014, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Larnce Rader, who died on December 21, 2000; son, Jerry L. Rader; sister, Alice May Ramsey; and brothers, James E. Veach, Robert L. Veach, and Henry Veach.     Richmond, Ind. - Fredrick James Adelsperger, age 95, of Richmond passed away Sunday (November 23, 2014) at Reid Hospital. He was born on Christmas Day in 1918 to Mary Girty Adelsperger and Asa Adelsperger. He married Ruth Stemple on February 1, 1940. He enlisted in the navy the day after Pearl Harbor, and served 4 years and 7 months as an enlisted pilot. He was in the Air Sea Rescue in the South Pacific flying PB2y-3's and he retired as a Chief Petty Officer. He served as a Wayne County Deputy Sheriff during the 1950's. He served as Wayne circuit court bailiff and riding bailiff for 35 years for judges Gus Hoelscher and James Puckett. He was a 25 year member of the Lions Club, charter member of Scott Boys Club, Past Chairman of Salvation Army Advisory Board, Past President of Photography Club and Whitewater Valley Sports Car Club, Past Commander of Boat Club of Richmond, member of Oliver P Morton Historical Society, member on the board of directors Treaty Line Association, member of the Whitewater Valley Prop Busters, member of Whitewater Valley Ham Radio Club and he was a Deacon at First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his children - Tom Adelsperger, Sylvia (Tim) Black, Fritz (Leslie) Adelsperger all of Richmond; 6 grandchildren, 8 great granddaughters, a nephew and a niece. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday (November 26, 2014) in First Presbyterian Church (100 N. 10th Street). Rev. David Layman and Rev. John Hollis will officiate.
