    RICHMOND, Ind. - Dorothy J. Harrison, age 82, of Richmond, died Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at her home. Born December 17, 1931, in Maryville, Tennessee, to Chester and Mary Russell Potter, she had lived in this area since 1948. Dorothy worked for F.W. Woolworth Company for 17 years and retired from DANA Corporation in 1992 after 25 years of service. She had attended the Greens Fork Church of Nazarene. Survivors include her husband, James Herschel Harrison to whom she was married on March 20, 1954; son, Larry Harrison of Pendleton, Indiana; grandsons, Jason Harrison and Steve Holscher; granddaughter, Helena Saunders; sisters, Rosalee Gibson of Alcoa, Tennessee, Reva Thompson of Greenback, Tennessee, and Jonell Gilbert of Sevierville, Tennessee; brother, Johnny Potter of Maryville, Tennessee; nieces; nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one foster brother; and one foster sister. A private funeral service for Dorothy J. Harrison will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Paul A. Mingus officiating. Entombment will be in Earlham Memorial Mausoleum. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Born June 6, 1938, in Richmond, to Roy and Amelia Bundy Davis, Ruth was a life-long resident of Richmond. She was a 1956 graduate of Richmond High School and attended Manchester University. Ruth was a substitute teacher for Richmond Community Schools. She was a member of the Church of the Open Door. Survivors include her husband, Alan C. Lahmann, to whom she was married on April 2, 1960; daughters, Donna Backmeyer of Richmond, Mariann (Bob) Albers of Connersville, Indiana, Deborah (Glenn) Remsen of Charleston, South Carolina, and Susan K. (Ryan) Van Middlesworth of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; sons, Alan C. (Linda) Lahmann Jr. of Richmond and Michael G Lahmann of Richmond; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sharon Starr of Florida; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harold Davis; and grandson, Johnathan Alan Lahmann. Visitation for Ruth Ann Lahmann will be from 1 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home. Burial will be in Brick Cemetery.
