    The city of Rancho Palos Verdes would like to alert residents to the fact that law enforcement officials continue to receive reports of callers claiming to be Internal Revenue Service agents, Southern California Edison workers, law enforcement and other government personnel telling victims they owe money for unpaid taxes, electric bills, warrants or bail for a family member. Victims are told to put money on a pre-paid Green Dot, MasterCard or Visa card and provide the caller with the numbers on the back.
