    Antelope meat loaf, quail and alligator jerky might be among the offerings this year, as the Main Street Baptist Church prepares for its third "Critter Dinner" set for 6 p.m. March 14. Sponsored by the Men's Fellowship, the dinner will be at the church, located at 1100 Main St. in Point Pleasant. According to Pastor Richard Sargent, the dinner has been extremely popular in the past.

    The Point Pleasant boys basketball team fell to 0-10 away from PPHS on Tuesday, as host St. Albans claimed a 54-44 victory over the Big Blacks, in Kanawha County. The Red Dragons charged out to a 13-3 lead at the end of the opening stanza, but the Big Blacks cut the deficit to single digits, 28-19 at halftime.

    The Winfield girls basketball team - which defeated Point Pleasant by a 73-23 count in the season opener on December 4, in Mason County - ended the Lady Knights season Monday night with a 58-25 victory over visiting PPHS in the WVSSAC Class AAA Region IV, Section I quarterfinal, in Putnam County. The Lady Generals outscored the Lady Knights 17-to-9 in the opening period and expanded the lead to 28-11 at halftime.
