    A prosecutor told jurors today that they have all the evidence they need to convict a then-teenage boy of first-degree murder for the stabbing death of his 14-year-old high school classmate in Pleasanton 30 years ago. Prosecutor Stacie Pettigrew said DNA evidence proves beyond a reasonable doubt that Steven Carlson, who was 16 at the time and is now 46, is the person who killed Tina Faelz on April 5, 1984.

Pleasanton Police Detectives made two arrests in the investigation of a stabbing which occurred in the parking lot of the Plaza Speed Wash on October 20. Detectives arrested 21 year-old Franco Estay of Pleasanton as they served a search warrant on his home on October 25th.
