    Kalamazoo-area high school marching bands performed well at the 2014 Jenison Invitational, held Saturday at Jenison High School in suburban Grand Rapids. In the Scholastic competition, Kalamazoo Central placed second in Class A; Otsego, Plainwell and Vicksburg took the top three places in Class B, and Gobles was the Class D champion.

It appears three of those seniors, Jacob Geter, Aaron Klang and Austin Rohr, enjoyed leaving their mark on a program so much the first time, they all agreed to try it again for another four years.

Propelled by another monster game from running back Jacob Geter, along with an efficient performance from quarterback Trent Monroe, Plainwell defeated Otsego, 33-7, to clinch at least a share of the Wolverine East title.
