    A teenager was arrested Tuesday in Petaluma on suspicion of stealing an expensive piece of construction equipment before selling it, using stolen credit cards and attempting to purchase multiple vehicles with forged checks, officials said. Tre Dominick Miller , 19, of Sonoma County, was taken into custody after a nearly two-month investigation that started with the theft of an excavator - valued at about $40,000 - from a job site at the corner of East Washington and Payran streets between the night of Nov. 1 and the morning of Nov. 3, Petaluma police said in a statement.
