    Wow! Roosters on Northridge Street! It appears that the neighborhood is reverting back to its former glory! Yesssss! Over 100 years ago most of Patchogue was a farm! How quaint! When I purchased my house many decades ago it came complete with a Chicken Coop! OK! The roosters appear to be very handsome! LOL! The Roosters were last seen prancing on the West end of Northridge street. This is so funny! A few years ago a neighbor of mine decided that it would be a good idea to raise chickens.

    A Selden man was seriously injured Monday afternoon when his motorcycle was struck by a car in East Patchogue, police said. According to police, Steven Demartino, 53, was riding his 1984 Harley-Davidson east on Montauk Highway, near Orchard Road, when he was struck by a westbound 2010 Volkswagen that was attempting to turn left into the Valero gas station, located at 1164 Montauk Highway, shortly before 4 p.m., police said.

    A 73-year-old Patchogue man was killed in a two-car crash in North Patchogue Wednesday morning, police said. According to police, Christopher Young, of Bay Shore, was driving a 2011 Chevrolet pickup truck north on North Ocean Avenue when his vehicle struck a 2009 Toyota, which was traveling west on Vehslage Street at about 5:05 a.m. The driver of the Toyota, Anthony Baldassarre, was transported by the North Patchogue Fire Department to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he was pronounced dead, police said.
