Nicholas Kotch was driving a 2010 Nissan Frontier southbound on Route 112 when he collided with a 2003 Honda being driven by Patrick Zaffarese who was attempting to make a turn onto Route 112 from Old Medford Avenue at approximately 3:20 p.m. Zaffarese was extricated from his vehicle by North Patchogue Fire Department.

According to police, Nicholas Kotch, of Middle Island, was driving a 2010 Nissan Frontier south on Route 112 when his vehicle collided with a 2003 Honda being driven by Patrick Zaffarese, of Bayport, who was attempting to make a turn onto Route 112 from Old Medford Avenue at about 3:20 p.m. Zaffarese, 51, needed to be freed from his vehicle by North Patchogue Fire Department, police said.
