    CORNING >> The Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians has filed a lawsuit in federal court alleging that former tribal officials engaged in a 12-year “looting spree,” defrauding the tribe of tens of millions of dollars, it was announced Tuesday. The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, includes claims under the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act and alleges that the former officials were paid more than $20 million “in unauthorized and outrageously excessive retirement and non-retirement compensation,” among other accusations.
