    The Pottsville Apaches were upset in the quarterfinal round of the 4A-4 District Tournament Friday as they fell 51-45 to the seventh-seeded Ozark Hillbillies ending the Apaches' season. The Apaches cut a 39-30 fourth quarter deficit to three a number of times in the closing minutes but could not come any closer as Ozark denied the Apaches a chance to play in the 4A-North Regional Tournament being held on their home floor.

He is survived by his wife, Carla; two sons, Patrick of Sanford, Florida, and Sean of Sonoma, California; two stepsons, Danny Cruz and Anthony Cruz, both of Grand Junction; two stepdaughters, Linda Sandoval and Susan Lovato, both of Grand Junction; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
