Law, 25, of 706 Mansion Ave., also was sentenced to five years of post-release supervision after his Feb. 23 guilty plea to a reduced count of second-degree attempted burglary, a violent felony, as part of a plea deal with the district attorney's office.

    St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies on Wednesday charged Jerome T. Dobbs, 26, of 801 Lake St., Ogdensburg, currently an inmate at the St. Lawrence County jail, with first-degree promoting prison contraband and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Deputies charge that on April 14 while in the jail, Mr. Dobbs was in possession of a schedule three controlled substance.

    The city police department's Narcotics Enforcement Unit on Wednesday charged John H. Gagnon III, 38, of 107 Cherry St., with third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Police said that on April 15, they executed a search warrant at Mr. Gagnon's residence and located and recovered components of “one-pot” methamphetamine production in the home as well as a street sign belonging to the city.
