A North Ridgeville police officer parked his cruiser in the middle lane of I-480 East at 12:43 a.m. Oct. 20 and activated its emergency lights to divert traffic around a fatal crash.

    North Ridgeville police who were helping control traffic after a fatal car crash Monday evening were involved in another crash when a 21-year-old man drove into one of the parked police cars. Around 11 p.m., a driver got on the Lorain Road entry ramp to go eastbound on state Route 10. The driver lost control of the car at the top of the ramp and ran into a divider wall, according to North Olmsted police.
