A Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority invoice obtained by WPRI says the agency collected $3.68 million in fares from providing commuter rail service to T.F. Green Airport and North Kingstown between 2010 and 2014.

    North Kingstown police charged a 28-year-old Updike Avenue man with disorderly conduct on Sunday after they responded to a noise complaint and he reportedly became aggressive with police officers in just his socks and underwear. Police said they were dispatched to the area of Updike Avenue and Beach street at around 3:23 a.m. for the noise complaint and found Nicholas B. Hilbern, 28, of 45 Updike Ave., standing by a bonfire in his underwear and socks while holding a large stick.

    The North Kingstown School Committee on Tuesday had the opportunity to consider voting for something that seemed lost as recently as two weeks ago - to approve the implementation of all-day kindergarten at all of the town's elementary schools. Superintendent Phil Auger announced the fall rollout of all-day K on Thursday, saying that the community advocates who pushed for it at countless School Committee and Town Council meetings deserve credit for making it a possibility.
