    Police and fire officials are investigating a school bus fire that occurred Sunday night at a Carteret County school as a possible case of arson. Newport police and fire departments responded to the school about 10 p.m. after a passerby traveling on West Railroad Boulevard, which is adjacent to the bus parking lot, called 911 and reported seeing smoke and what appeared to be flames coming from the engine compartment area of one of the buses, according to information from the Newport Police Department.
