During the spring semester, and summer at NCJC ECC camp, children planted a variety of vegetables, according to Jackie Binstock, NCJC's early education center director. Now they're going to reap the benefits and learn about Sukkot, the annual Jewish fall harvest festival that begins at sundown on Wednesday, Oct. 8. "They've had a great time getting their hands dirty and learning that the foods we eat don't start out at the supermarket," says Binstock.
