    Body cameras have been in the news a lot recently, and now the town of Mount Olive in Wayne County is talking about its use of the cameras. Earlier this year, the town equipped all patrol officers with body cameras and initiated a policy that any officer who becomes involved in a questionable incident and does not have his body cam activated bears the burden of proof that he was not in the wrong.

    The University of Mount Olive will host the sixth annual Christmas by Candlelight on Dec. 6. There will be two Christ-centered services with the first beginning at 2:30 p.m. and the second at 6:30 p.m. in the Mount Olive Assembly Hall located at 207 Wooten St. The services will be patterned after the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, a traditional English evening service which began in Cambridge in 1918, and will include Scripture lessons and tracing salvation history. Each reading will be followed by a carol.
