    Late last month, wildlife officers with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission participated in the Annual Arkansas Special Olympics Area 12 Polar Plunge held at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. The Arkansas Special Olympics is a non-profit organization whose goal is to bring year round sports and Olympic-type competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities in Arkansas.

Joe Rogers, former Mayor of Monticello, has sent a letter to Arkansas State Police and the 10th Judicial Prosecuting Attorney in Drew County asking for a criminal investigation into the City's $10 million water project with Siemen's Industry, Inc. He included a 13-page letter from an attorney hired by the City to look into and address "legitimate concerns".
