    100 years ago Jan. 21, 1915 PINE BLUFF -- Plans for extending the Arkansas, Louisiana and Gulf Railroad, now in operation from Monroe, La., to Monticello, Ark., north to Pine Bluff will be presented to the business men of this city within the coming year, according to President J.M. Parker of the railroad company, who spent Wednesday in Pine Bluff in company with E. F. Caverly of New York.

    Arkansas State Police have been asked to look into concerns over a $10 million water project plaguing a city for the last year. Joe Rogers, former Mayor of Monticello, has sent a letter to Arkansas State Police and the 10th Judicial Prosecuting Attorney in Drew County asking for a criminal investigation into the City's $10 million water project with Siemen's Industry, Inc. He included a 13-page letter from an attorney hired by the City to look into and address "legitimate concerns".
