And the Mint Hill unveiling is a big deal as Coach V, also known as Rob Vardeman, the founder of Munzee will be on hand to help introduce the game.

    The Matthews Athletic and Recreation Association was the topic of the evening at the Matthews Board of Commissioners meeting, which was held Monday, February 23. The board heard from four speakers, a pair of concerned citizens and three MARA coaches regarding two separate issues - a rezoning from a rural zone to a conditional R/I zoning distinction, and a separate cellphone tower extension which would raise an existing but non-working cell phone tower from 80 to 120 feet.
