Marshall, Mich. - Nona E. Terhune, age 65, of Marshall and formerly of Livonia, Michigan died Tuesday, April 09, 2013. Mrs. Terhune was born on March 22, 1948 in New Castle, Indiana to Clarence and Ina (White) England. Nona grew up in Indiana and was a graduate of Blue River Valley High School in Mt. Summit, Indiana. On September 20, 1969, she married Stephen P. Terhune in Richmond, Indiana. The couple moved to Livonia, Michigan in 1983 from Hagerstown, Indiana. She had been employed as the Office Manager for Custom Metal Products for twenty five years. She retired in 2012. Nona's life was centered on her family. She was blessed this last year with two beautiful grandchildren, which she loved deeply. She was the loving mother of two sons and was very proud of their many accomplishments. Nona and her husband enjoyed traveling in their 5th wheel camper. They traveled throughout the mid-west, camping in State and National Park camp grounds. They were seasonal members of the Marble Springs Camp Grounds in Allen, Michigan. The couple had made many wonderful friendships over the years. She is survived by her husband, Stephen; sons, Tyson (Sarrah) Terhune of Lena, IL and Gregory (Maya) Terhune of Ewa Beach, HI; grandchildren, Lorelei and Chesley Terhune; mother, Ina England of Mt. Summit, IN; Siblings, Glennis (Mike) Schofield of Fishers, Indiana, Garry (Amy) England of Greens Fork, IN and Raola (Chris) Lucaus of New Castle, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence England. Visitation will be on Sunday at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home, Marshall from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM. The family will receive friends from 1 PM to 2 PM Tuesday at the Doan & Mills Funeral Home, Richmond, Indiana. A funeral service will follow at 2 PM. Burial will take place in Earlham Cemetery. Marshall and Pearl Brumfield Miller, she was a life-long resident of this area. Rheba attended schools in Centerville and Richmond. She retired after 22 years of service from Insurance Company of North America. Rheba and her husband, David "Ted," were active members in the Masonic Lodge. She was a 50-year member of Eastern Star Chapter #49, White Shrine of Jerusalem #62 of Fairborn, Ohio, Past Worthy Priestess of White Shrine, and Social Order of Beauceant. Rheba was a life-long member of First Christian Church, teaching an adult Sunday school class and was Past President of the "Golden Band Class," as well as being an active choir member. Survivors include her sons, Ronald, James, and Duane Harter and their families, which include 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, David A. Mote who died January 5, 1978; sons, Jay Stuart Harter and Robert M. Harter; brother, Walter Miller; and sister, Blanche Austermann. Visitation for Rheba L. Mote will be from 12 to 2:00 p.m. with a service provided by the Eastern Star at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
