The final pole was removed in the Center Street/Prescott Avenue Overhead to Underground project on Wednesday, Nov. 19. In total, the project removed 33 utility poles from the side of the road and moved 27,708 feet of power lines underground.

    Prince William County police have arrested a man accused of assaulting a police officer and his K-9 partner, Sunday Nov. 16. Raymond Joseph Leshynski, 30 of Manassas, is charged with assault and battery, assault and battery on a police K-9, burglary, obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct. Leshynski allegedly banged on an off-duty Prince William County Police Officer's door at around 11:20 p.m. When the officer opened the door, Leshynski attempted to push past him to enter the home, according to a PWCPD release.
