    The Re­Energy Lyonsdale energy facility had a fire Monday morning in an exterior kerosene tank that is used to heat the building. Volunteers from Lyons Falls and Port Leyden fire departments were called to the wood-chip-burning cogeneration plant at 2:55 a.m. and were able to extinguish the burning tank with foam and water, according to Lewis County Fire Coordinator Robert A. MacKenzie III.

Nicholas Graefe, a 22-year-old resident of upstate Lyons Falls, N.Y., has been arrested and charged by Yorktown police with aggravated unlicensed operation, suspended registration and an uninsured motor vehicle on Sunday, Dec. 7, according to police. Police said that an officer was on patrol and operating the Elsag Mobile Plate Reader when it detected a 2013 Dodge pickup truck was traveling with a suspended registration.

Weiler, 30, of 4223 Cherry St., additionally was sentenced, as a second child sexual assault felony offender, to 20 years of post-release parole supervision and $1,425 in court fees on a charge of first-degree sexual abuse, to which he pleaded guilty Aug. 15. He also was listed as a sex offender, and Judge Daniel R. King issued a no-contact order of protection for eight years past his maximum release date.
