The victories--11-3 over the Trojans and 9-1 over the Titans--left the Wildcats 6-6 and all alone in fourth place in the De Anza Division of the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League, and they rode a 16-11 season record into the first round of the playoffs earlier this week.

And with the Vikings riding an eight-game winning streak into the championship game last Saturday, Paly figured to be a formidable foe.
