    Workers at the New York Power Authority's Lewiston Pump Generation Plant reached a milestone in the plant's Life Extension and Modernization project, when maintenance and refurbishment work on the turbine unit was completed and the unit was returned to service March 20. The work included a new pump turbine, shaft and head covers, along with a refurbished operating ring, guide bearing and wicket gate levers. This marks the third turbine unit to be successfully overhauled under the 10-year LEM, which is now 25 percent complete and on schedule to conclude in 2020.
