    At around 3:12 p.m. on Monday, the Leitchfield Fire and Police Departments responded to a report that the bottom of a fire truck that was being towed by Stevenson's Wrecker Service had caught fire near Marathon on West White Oak St. The fire truck, formerly belonging to the Jeffersonville Fire Department, out Jeffersonville, IN, had reportedly been wrecked and was being towed for Orville Green, whom had purchased the truck to scrap it for parts, said First Assistant Leitchfield Fire Chief Tim Duvall on the scene.

    At around 9:20 a.m. on Thursday, the Leitchfield Police Department , Kentucky State Police, and Grayson County Emergency Medical Services responded to a two-vehicle injury crash near the intersection of W. White Oak St. and South English St. in Leitchfield. According to responding LPD Patrolman Greg Whobrey, a 1993 Oldsmobile Ciera, reportedly travelling southbound on S. English St., pulled in front of a white Ford Explorer travelling westbound on W. White Oak St., causing the two vehicles to collide.
