    An administrative law judge who will hear former Lebanon police Chief Scott Bowen's disciplinary hearing said it will work much like a trial, but the final rules of order would be determined Feb. 4 when the hearing begins. Attorneys for both the city and Bowen agreed in December Nashville attorney Scott Gipson would serve as administrative law judge for the hearing.

    U.S. District Judge Ronnie Greer sentenced five people, including a Lebanon man, to prison terms in federal court in Greeneville late Wednesday for conspiring to commit Clean Air Act offenses with the illegal removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials at the former Liberty Fibers Plant in Hamblen County. A&E Salvage bought the plant out of bankruptcy to salvage metals, which remained in the plant after it ceased operations.
