Officer Larry Hadfield said Thursday that that 31-year-old Isidro Sanchez Jr. and 26-year-old Erica Bohon were arrested late Wednesday after they were confronted by police dogs as they ran from a home near Tropical Parkway and Decatur Boulevard.

    Officials are marking the start of construction of the expansion of a regional trash-handling center in North Las Vegas that they say will make it the largest residential recycling complex in the nation. Republic Services and subsidiary Republic Silver State Disposal say the project will more than double the size of the the Southern Nevada Recycling Complex at Cheyenne Avenue and Commerce Street, and will double its capacity for waste recovery from the region.
