    A Lake Luzerne man was taken to the hospital after the snowmobile he was driving left the road, struck a road sign and overturned, Warren County deputies said. The accident happened about 8 p.m. Friday when Devon R. Thompson, 18, was traveling north on the Prospect Mountain Trail in the town of Lake George and failed to make a curve in the trail because of icy trail conditions, deputies said.

Andrew Cuomo is pressuring the Lake George Park Commission to oust its executive director, Dave Wick, who helped launch a successful boat inspection program to combat invasive species, according to people with knowledge of the situation. On Wednesday, few officials around the lake were willing to talk publicly about the situation, which had led to a closed-door commission meeting on Tuesday at which Wick was placed on paid administrative leave.
