If your answer is an adamant, or confused, "no!?", then don't drive while talking on the phone near the Middletown area next week. Police officers in the Bayshore area of Monmouth County will be paying particular attention to violations of New Jersey's distracted driving law on October 25 and October 31, Aberdeen Police Chief John Powers reports.

    The accident happened around 6:30 a.m., after Middletown resident Rose Imbrenda, 60, traveled south on Main Street in Keansburg, and then failed to observe and stop for a red traffic signal at the intersection with Route 36 in Hazlet, according to authorities. Imbrenda, who was driving a 2003 Chevy Malibu, entered the intersection and was then struck by a 2006 Nissan Frontier pickup truck heading east under a green light signal on Route 36, driven by a 51-year-old man from Flemington.

Gramiccioni. "We are saving lives, but this is not a cure-all for the horrors of opiates and heroin addiction.
