    Thanks to funding from the Elk County Commissioners and the Johnsonburg Borough, the community building in Johnsonburg received new doors and the Johnson Run Bridge received needed repairs, after flooding in May caused severe damage and left the bridge unsafe. The county commissioners approved two separate grant requests to help fund the community improvement projects, one through their Act 13 fund, and the other from Elk County's Community Development Block Grant Program .
