    New York State Police are seeking information from the public in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred nearly 25 years ago. 22-year-old Phillip Edward Zerrillo of Cortland was killed in May 1990 while walking along a road in the Town of Cortlandville in Cortland County.

    Is Martha Robertson really an extreme Ithaca liberal who's too radical for the rest of the 23rd Congressional District? Did U.S. Rep. Tom Reed, R-Corning, really support cutting back on Medicare and Social Security and help corporations ship jobs overseas? Those are just a few of the ways the candidates have characterized each other in the long and contentious race for the 23rd District seat, which began when Robertson announced her challenge to Reed in April 2013 - roughly 18 months ago. The hour-long debate, presented by WETM Channel 18 News, is set for 7 p.m. at Mandeville Hall in Elmira's Clemens Center for the Performing Arts.
